Wildwood is the fifth episode in the Disney + television series, Willow. The episode aired on December 21, 2022.
Synopsis[]
Desperate to escape the Gales, Willow leads the group into the Wildwood, the unpredictable, enchanted forest, home to the infamous Bone Reavers.
Plot Summary[]
Willow and the others run away from The Scourge and The Dag, who are chasing after them. Willow tries to hold them off by shooting out fire from his wand. Eventually however, the group is forced to retreat into the Wildwood to stop them from following. The Wildwood is haunted and presents risks of its own.
Willow tries to continue Elora’s magic training but she is still struggling. The group settles in. Boorman and Graydon talk about women, love, and passion. Boorman notices a skull on the ground and he starts to get suspicious. He sits down to the group and tells them no matter what happens next- he has a plan. Suddenly, the group is surrounded and ambushed by Bone Reavers, a group of soldiers who wear skull masks.
The leader of the Bone Reavers, Scorpia, talks to Boorman, commenting that he doesn’t look dead. She commands her group to tie him up and take him to her tent. Kit asks Scorpia to let them go, explaining who she is and what their mission is. Scorpia isn’t interested in letting them go, even when Kit offers to give them Boorman because he’s “the worst”. Scorpia divides up the group as prisoners but keeps Jade with her.
Scorpia questions Boorman asking him what happened to him. She tells him she wept when she found out he was “dead”.
Graydon asks Willow about Elora, expressing his interest in her romantically. Willow tells him to back off because she doesn’t have time for romance because she has to save the world.
Kit worries about Jade and what the Bone Reavers are going to do to her. Elora manages to get her hands on a wand and tells Kit that she will get them out of here. She gets them out but the Bone Reavers quickly surround them. Kit demands that Jade be set free. Jade manages to break free from her binding around a tree and ends up face to face with Scorpia. Scorpia sends her to her tent when she sees a tattoo on Jade’s neck.
Scorpia has the same tattoo and realizes that Jade is in fact her sister, because the mark is the mark of General Kael who was the first Bone Reaver. Because of this, Scorpia agrees to let everyone go. Everyone relaxes and they party to celebrate Jade’s return. Graydon and Willow, who were forgotten about, come up and are surprised to see the groups getting along. Elora helps Toth with seasoning his soup. Willow comes up to get the wand back from Elora.
Scorpia and Boorman kiss at the party. Kit and Jade reunite and have a moment. Kit asks her if she cares that her father killed Jade's father. She says it's okay. Kit tells her she would live with the Bone Reavers if that's what Jade wants after they find Airk.
Suddenly, trolls show up and attack the group. They take Kit and a few others. The group runs screaming. Jade rushes back to find Boorman and Scorpia.
