Kit Tanthalos was the daughter of Queen Sorsha and Madmartigan, and the Daikini princess of Tir Asleen.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Princess Kit Tanthalos was a Daikini noble, the daughter of Queen Sorsha of Tir Asleen and Madmartigan. A free-spirited young woman and a skilled swordswoman, she had romantic feelings for Jade Claymore, a woman warrior serving the royal family. But two hundred moons after the Battle of Tir Asleen, the princess was supposed to go into an arranged marriage with prince Graydon Hastur of Galladoorn; in order to unite their two kingdoms. On the eve of the wedding, Princess Kit decided to leave the castle secretly, but her flight was interrupted by a mysterious attack, during which her brother, Airk Tanthalos, was kidnapped by the Gales. The princess then volunteered to go looking for her missing brother beyond the Barrier.[1]
Kit was frustrated on the journey as the group was steered off course and focused entirely on the reveal of Elora Danan. She desperately wanted to go off with Jade alone to look for her brother Airk, but decided to stay with the group. Kit started to learn about the Kymerian Cuirass from Thraxus Boorman and her curiosity grew.
After Graydon was infected by The Lich, Kit thought the group should kill him, but was largely opposed by the others. In Nockmaar, Kit saw an old tapestry of Queen Bavmorda being corrupted by The Crone. She also started to learn about the Blood of the Six and asks Willow Ufgood to tell her more about it.[6]
Kit and the others continue on, fighting whomever and whatever obstacles are in their way.[5][7] Eventually, they reach the end of the Shattered Sea and most of the group want to turn around. Kit, however, was intent on finding Airk and completing their mission. She and Elora jumped off a waterfall and found themselves in the Immemorial City.[8]
Airk was waiting for them and brought them to The Crone. Kit had a vision of her mother and hears the voice of Madmartigan, who told her she was Elora's protector. Elora fought The Crone, defeating her. Kit faced off with her brother, who had been infected by The Crone, but eventually she talked to him and convinced him to return to his old self. It seemed the war was done but the group realized a bigger war with the Wyrm awaited.[9]
Personality, appearance and traits[]
Kit was fiercely independent and had a mind of her own. She didn't like to dress up or go to parties. She wore masculine attire and had dark brown hair cut short. She'd prefer to practice her sword fighting or seek out adventure. Kit was a fearless person who sought justice for her brother; however, she could also be prideful and stubborn at times, insisting to Jade that she can take care of herself and bringing up her victories in their previous sparring matches as a case in point, oblivious to the fact that the latter simply allowed her to win at each and every time. After hearing from Jade that her friend loved her romantically, Kit reciprocated.
