Fay[1], Fey[2] or "Veil Folk"[3] were terms for the members of Lesser and Greater Faery.
Their domains were the Realms Beyond. They could live as easily in the Circle of the World as in the Circle of the Spirit.[3]
Some of the Veil Folk had a weakness towards steel and couldn't stand their touch. As a means of protection against the races who are immune to, and work it (the Daikini, the Nelwyn and the Forge Folk) they bred a race of warhounds, which eventually became the Death Dogs.[3]
