A baby that has been prophesied to become queen in the place of the evil Queen Bavmorda. Bavmorda sends her General Kael and her daughter Sorsha in search of the child so she can perform a ritual to banish her spirit into oblivion.
When the baby is found bearing the prophesied birthmark, the nursemaid takes the baby away and sends it floating on a makeshift raft in the river just before she is attacked and killed by vicious dogs.
Elora is found in the Nelwyn village by Willow's children, and the High Aldwin sends Willow on a quest to return Elora to her own people.
